As the world’s biggest IT enterprise and PC manufacturers, HP has been committed to promote China’s financial industry informatization development, and in 2010 during the exhibition put forward “financial future bank” the development of the industry blueprint.

So, how to realize “the future of the bank” vision, let users to enjoy to the ubiquity of financial services? HP think, must from innovation application, unique experience, agile response, the optimization process, risk control such five aspects, can provide the most convenient and efficient service, to construct the customer as the center of “future bank.”

Beyond the CAMELS Rating: A Model for predicting bank failures in Nigeria

In the year 1968, a financial economist called Edward Altman, then an Assistant Professor of Finance at New York University published what is popularly known in the global finance community as the Z-Score formula for predicting corporate bankruptcy. With the published formula, it was possible to use historical accounting data to predict the failure of publicly-quoted American manufacturing firms two (2) years prior to the declaration of bankruptcy. In effect, the range of predictive accuracy of the model was found to be between seventy two percent (72%) to eighty percent (80%).

The chicken has come home to roost. This is the common phrase heard from commentators following the recent bombshell from the Central Bank of Nigeria that led to the sacking of chief executive officers of five commercial banks. The banks were adjudged to be financially unhealthy. For a while, the Nigerian banking and finance industry has been awash with rumors of ill-health, unfair de-marketing practices and the need to comprehensively sanitize the system.

Using a Small Bank to Obtain a Business Line of Credit

In today’s lending world, many people have flocked to smaller banks or community based credit unions when seeking to obtain a business LOC or business line of credit. This is because, while still very scientific and numbers driven, the people that are ultimately making credit decisions are people located within your area. Unlike large money center banks that have thousands of branches, the bankers in your community can see your success in person. Of course, this does not delineate from the fact that you must still have the appropriate collateral and credit in place in order to obtain a business line of credit. However, small banks tend to be more lenient in their credit decisions when determining whether or not to extend a business a line of credit.
